Universal Marina Systems (UMS), is a wholly Australian owned independent non-franchised company with operational bases in Western Australia, Queensland and New South Wales. Born out of the recognition and desire to bring to market a state-of-the-art range of marina products that have evolved to offer today’s client the ability to make economically sound investment choices which promote sustainability without compromise to style or design.
While keeping the product ahead of our competition we have maintained the “keep it simple” approach, minimising maintenance and installation times. Our personnel are passionate in all aspects of the marine industry, and are committed to producing a quality product and service to their customers. Using proven methods, Universal Marina Systems aims to set the bar in pontoon, jetty and marina design and engineering techniques.
Henry joined Universal Marina Systems at inception as an undergraduate mechanical engineering student. Henry successfully completed his Engineering Studies graduating with a 1st class honours degree and subsequently taking up a full-time position with UMS. Henry has been responsible for evolving the UMS product applying great innovative advancements to already proven structurally sound principles.
Routinely he balances our drive for continual product improvement with the design and planning of our client’s requirements in the most efficient and economically viable way; ensuring compliance with all relevant Australian Standards and best engineering practice.
Karen has been with Universal Marina Systems since its inception and brought with her over 20 years of contract and finance management experience predominantly from within the UK Construction Sector. Karen is responsible for structuring and managing the company’s finances and management systems.
On a day to day basis this involves working closely with all areas of the business from initial tendering, through to contract negotiation with both the client and supply chain. Equally importantly, Karen works with our Production Department to ensure we continue to monitor quality and performance against a series of robust auditable systems and procedures.
Mark has been with UMS for several years, he is a first class machinist with a very specific eye for detail. Before emigrating to Australia he ran a very successful injection mould tool making business in the UK.
At UMS mark handles all aspects of assembly and quality control. He is responsible for the smooth operation of the workshop and ensures that UMS can be very proud of every jetty that leaves it’s doors.
