SCOPE OF WORKS

Due to our reputation and longevity in the industry, Universal Marina Systems has built strong relationships with commercial clients and government departments across Australia who have recognised both the strength of our product and our efficient team of personnel. These large projects are standardly accompanied by civil land-based works and our expertise in this area allows us to team up with a suitable civil contractor to deliver the project.

With a wealth of knowledge, we deliver fully engineered, state of the art, modern and strong marina systems for commercial, industrial and government requirements.

Universal Marina Systems meet all Australian Standard 3962-2001 Guidelines for the Design of Marinas, including live loads.  This is behind the drive to produce a competitive product without compromise.

DESIGN

All commercial marina systems comprise:

  • All finger connections are fully hinged using custom extruded heavy-duty billet hinge extrusion, with acetyl bush’s and stainless-steel rod.
  • Universal Marina Systems floats are rota-moulded polyethylene which is now an integral part of the structure. The height of the float has been increased into the void of the main frame to achieve increases strength and positive live loads (3kpa+).
  • All Universal Marina Systems deck frames and floatation units are fully engineered to meet and exceed the AS 3962-2001 Guidelines for Marinas.
  • Key No.1 side members structurally heavier and stronger at 8.6kg/m, against the standard offering of 6kg/m.
  • Increased wall thickness and overall dimension of cross members.
  • Cross member ends are fully welded and gusseted to help spread the bending moment evenly along the entire structure.
  • 2 connecting extrusion is a positive fit to the No.1 held in place wit track bars and bolts.
  • All 1 and 3 tonne cleats are fully adjustable in specifically designed extrusion, locked in place using 316 stainless steel studs and track-bars.

Universal Marina System’s flexible marina systems are designed to reduce operational servicing and maintenance costs, with a design life expectancy of at least 30 years when maintained correctly.
